The Oil Center Association’s 27th Annual Festival of Lights returns Friday, December 4, 2026, with an exciting new partnership with the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra! This year’s celebration will feature live orchestral music, expanded family programming, and even more ways to experience the magic of the season throughout the Oil Center. Guests can enjoy the Oil Center’s beautifully illuminated median project, featuring more than 250 lights, the lighting of Santa and his sleigh on Ochsner’s skywalk, and two additional festive light displays accessible by trolley.

It’s a holiday tradition with something for everyone, and a celebration of the continued vitality and community spirit of Lafayette’s historic Oil Center.

Guests will enjoy two exciting experiences:

• 6th Floor of the Burdin Riehl Parking Tower (5:30pm-9:00pm) – A ticketed 21+ event with food, drinks, and live music.​

• 5th Floor Family Fun Zone (5:30pm-7:30pm) – Step into a festive Christmas wonderland featuring Christmas movies on the big screen, cookie decorating, Christmas ornament painting, hot cocoa, letters & pictures with Santa, Christmas Market and more!​

• Coolidge St (5:30pm-7:30pm) – A family-friendly experience with trolley and train rides for a Christmas light experience.​
